New tank cars were added to the fleet of railroad cars of KazAzot JSC
On June 13, 2021 on the territory of "KazAzot" plant a solemn presentation of the new investment project was held with the participation of the First Deputy Akim of Mangistau region Mendibayev Abzal Mendibayevich. The essence of the new project is acquisition and operation of 30 tank cars for transportation of liquid ammonia. Carrying capacity of each tank car is 56 tons. The cost of the project is 711 million tenge.
KazAzot Joint Stock Company is Kazakhstan's only producer of mineral nitrogen fertilizers, including ammonia. Ammonia is one of the most important products of the chemical industry and serves as a raw material for the production of mineral fertilizers and numerous nitrogen-containing industrial substances.
Ammonia delivery to consumers is an integral part of KazAzot's production cycle. As a producer of ammonia, the Company observes all necessary safety measures during its production and storage. KazAzot JSC's railroad tank cars are certified and systematically undergo mandatory inspections.
The acquisition of new tank cars will ensure timely shipment of ammonia and delivery to consumers. Today, the Company produces up to 650 tons of ammonia daily. The addition of rail tank cars will increase production to 750 tons per day.
