On December 12, 2023 in Astana, the ceremony of awarding the presidential prize "Altyn Sapa" was held, where KazAzot was recognized as the best enterprise of production purpose in Kazakhstan among large businesses.
The Head of State Kasym-Jomart Tokayev took part in the solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of "Altyn Sapa" and "Paryz" awards. Alikhan Smailov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, presented Arman Mauleshev, General Director of KazAzot JSC, with a cherished statuette, noting the outstanding achievements of the company.
The Presidential Award "Altyn Sapa" is awarded annually to the best enterprises of the country, being a sign of high quality of services rendered and products manufactured. KazAzot Joint Stock Company, being the only producer of ammonium nitrate and ammonia in the country, occupies a special position in the structure of the manufacturing industry. The company's mission is to create a competitive product for the development and stability of the agricultural and mining sector. As the Head of State noted, the agricultural sector is "a strategically important area for ensuring the country's food security".
KazAzot won the Presidential Award in 2012. Since then, the company has undergone a large-scale modernization of its production facilities. Currently, KazAzot continues to invest in the modernization of existing production and actively plans the construction of a new ammonia and urea complex, demonstrating a constant commitment to technological development and strengthening its leadership in the industry.
