KazAzot JSC is the only producer of ammonia and ammonium nitrate in Kazakhstan, fully satisfying the country's demand for nitrogen mineral fertilizers. Since its foundation, the company has focused its efforts on the production of fertilizers, having identified this area as a priority in its development.

The main goal of the company is to provide the market with high-quality fertilizers at affordable prices and maintain stable production. The company's products are sold both within Kazakhstan and for export. Granulated ammonium nitrate and liquid ammonia are delivered by rail and sea.

The plant has warehouses for storing ammonia, nitric acid, chemical reagents and fuels and lubricants, as well as a finished product warehouse with a capacity of 10,000 tons. In addition, the company has its own fleet of 100 rail tank cars with a total capacity of 4,000 tons.

KazAzot uses natural gas from its own Shagyrly-Shomyshty field to produce ammonia. Energy resources, such as electricity, water and other materials, are partially supplied by MAEK-Kazatomprom LLP, located in the immediate vicinity, and the enterprise receives 85% of its electricity from its own gas piston power plant.

The domestic market accounts for about 60% of product supplies, with the remainder exported to CIS and non-CIS countries, including Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Georgia, Russia, the USA and others. Due to the global growth of agriculture, the company plans to expand its markets in the future.
